In a 90-day window, Catalyst conceived of and designed a venue for an event and awards ceremony gathering, celebrating a global tech firm’s elite group of incentive winners to celebrate in style. Catalyst erected a tent, two-thirds of which was transformed into a lush living Costa Rican rain forest, where attendees entered through a dramatic tunnel made from organic materials into a dinner theater, fully adorned with organic flora and fauna. The final third— revealed later in the evening upon removal of an LED wall—included a white and silver disco floor. Completing the stage design and show theme, for which Catalyst conceptualized and produced, was a runway stage featuring “Tia Tierra,” a drag character written for this show, along with her singers and dancers.
